Bio
Dr. Akbar Khaiat graduated from the University of Tehran School of Dental Medicine. He entered a postgraduate program at the University of Boston, Mass, and received MS and specialist certificate degrees in Endodontics in 1977.
Akbar has 40 years of experience in non-surgical and surgical root canal treatment aimed at saving teeth that were considered too difficult.
He has published more than 45 articles and contributed and presented lectures at international conferences. He is a registered specialist in Endodontics at the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia (CDSBC) and is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentistry of Canada (RCDC).
Dr. Khaiat now serves as a clinical associate professor at UBC.
