Bio
Dr. Ali Tanara distinguished graduate of Western University dental school in 2016, furthered his education with a one-year General Practice Residency (GPR) at Lincoln Hospital in New York City. There, he garnered extensive experience in diverse aspects of dentistry, focusing particularly on patients with medical complexities and those who had suffered dental trauma.
Upon his return to Canada, Dr. Tanara dedicated three years to serving as a general dentist in Ottawa, where his interest in periodontology and dental implantology flourished. In 2023, he successfully completed graduate studies in periodontology at the University of Alberta, honing his expertise in treating gum disease and performing dental implant procedures. Concurrently, Dr. Tanara acquired advanced training in IV conscious sedation for adults.
Currently practicing as a licensed Periodontist in both Ontario and New Brunswick, Dr. Tanara is a proud member of the Canadian and American Academies of Periodontology, as well as a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Beyond his professional commitments, Ali is an adventurous individual with a fervor for tennis, a passion for skiing, and a love for travel.
