Bio
Dr. Mercer was born and raised in Saint John, NB. He developed an interest in dentistry in high school and never looked back. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie University in 2022 after obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Biology at St. Francis Xavier University.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Mercer completed a one-year general practice residency at the University of Alberta. This additional training allowed him to develop skills in surgical extractions, sedation dentistry, fixed prosthodontics (including implant planning and placement), and treating medically compromised patients in a hospital setting. He is involved with local dental associations, societies, and study clubs.
In his free time, Dr. Mercer enjoys golfing, cycling, and running. He’s even run a few marathons! He loves being outside and is excited to explore all that Nova Scotia has to offer.
