Bio
Dr. Melissa Goodman graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 2006. Upon graduation, she was selected to participate in a one year residency at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto where she performed all aspects of dentistry, with an emphasis on patients with complex medical problems. Dr. Goodman continued training at New York University in New York City, where she earned a specialty certificate in periodontics and implant surgery. (Her high standing there won her the clinical award for excellence in postgraduate periodontics.) She is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Dr. Goodman is an active member of various dental organizations including the Ontario Dental Association, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and continues learning about dentistry on a regular basis at continuing education courses. In addition, she is the staff periodontist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and an Associate in Dentistry at the University of Toronto where she enjoys interacting with 4th year dental students as a clinical instructor.
Dr. Goodman makes every effort to provide gentle and caring periodontal services and looks forward to making her patients feel as comfortable as possible during their visit.
