Bio
Dr. Hong has received her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University and Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from University of British Columbia. She is trained in all aspects of general dentistry, including restorative and extractions. In her graduating year, she received Carlos Carrillo Community Service Award and Dr. Ralph Yorsh Scholarship.
Dr. Hong is passionate in making a difference in people’s lives in both her community and internationally. She volunteered at a mobile dental clinic and at the Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society, where she helped low-income individuals and families overcome financial barriers to dental care. She has also served as the student leader for a dental missionary trip to Jamaica, where they have provided oral health care in underserved communities.
Dr. Hong focuses on listening to every patient’s story and understanding different struggles one may have. Her primary mission is to provide gentle yet efficient and high quality-care to patients of all ages. She believes in the golden rule of “treat others how you want to be treated”.
Outside of clinic, you can find her spending time at home baking or outside the trails going for a run. She is truly excited to make Fort St. John her new home and meet new patients!
