Hi, I’m Dr. Shale. I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I graduated from the University of Manitoba Faculty of Dentistry in 1990, receiving the Mary Jane Ego Award for Excellence in Oral Surgery.
Upon graduation from General Dentistry, I was accepted into a one-year Dental Internship at the Faculty of Medicine. This program gave me advanced training in dental surgery, sedation techniques and treatment of medically compromised patients. In 1996, after 5 years of practicing dentistry in Nunavut and serving as the Regional Dental Officer there, I purchased Norwood Dental Centre in St. Boniface, from Dr. Cogan.
My passion is technology, specifically dental lasers. Our office is equipped with two different types of lasers for treating both hard tissue (teeth and bones), and soft tissue (gums). I have, and continue to train in the U.S. in advanced laser techniques and treatments to help our patients receive the best outcomes possible. In addition, I am certified in Botox therapy, having trained at the Pacific Training Institute for Facial Aesthetics and Therapeutics in British Columbia. For those looking for cosmetic upper face enhancement and facial pain management, Botox is an ideal service.
Away from the office, I have been married to the love of my life Sary for almost 30 years and we have two grown daughters, Sydney and Annie. Aside from home, my happy place is the golf course and the gym. My favourite team, naturally, is the Winnipeg Jets!
